Why do so many people believe in love at first sight?
That you can tell if a person is the one for you by the way their touch makes you feel
How come people always tell me how nice it is to be close to someone you care?
It doesn't matter what they tell me or what they believe in,
I will not be a fool that believes in something that does not exist.
A cafe in a quiet town, serving drinks and pastries, the strong scent of coffee lingered on those who enter. People living their boring lives chattering amongst themselves, simply trying to survive in this harsh and unforgiving world, going in and coming out of the small coffee shop. A young man that looked eighteen of age, wandered into that small and cheerful cafe. Dark, crimson eyes scanned the menu held above the customers and walked to the girl behind the counter. "I want black coffee, nothing else." A short and simple request, expected to be fulfilled quickly and efficiently. But as the red-eyed man started to walk toward a nearby table, the girl called out to him. Light Purple hair streaked with blue highlights framed the young girl's face, one that belonged to a sixteen or seventeen year old. "Are you sure you don't want anything else? Black coffee doesn't sound very tasty..." The man glared at her replying, "Yes I am sure I don't want anything else. Why does it matter to you anyways?" The girl shrugged, "You just seem like the kind of guy that needs something sweet. By the way... what do you do to make your hair defy the laws of gravity? How much gel do you use anyways?" The man gave his famous "Huhn" and walked away. After a few moments the purple- haired girl walked over to the man with two cups and sat down. He looked up from his paper to meet the girls violet-gray eyes, looking very annoyed, "Why do you have two cups when I only ordered one, and more importantly why are you sitting here?" The girl looked defiantly at the man, "Because I'm on my break and I wanted something to drink too and because I can sit here. So tell me, what's your name? Mine's Lia." The man gave Lia a glare and was about to ignore her question when she added, "You have to tell me your name cause I already told you mine. It's only fair." The man sighed, knowing that she won't give up until his name was given... annoying human girl. "Hiei" There the name was given. Now maybe he can enjoy his coffee in peace. "So how come you have a bandana over your forehead?" Guess not. "Why do you care? It's none of your business." His coldness should have given her some kind of clue that he doesn't like her... well maybe not dislike... but still. Lia simply gave another shrug. "Cause I'm curious." She looked deep into Hiei's eyes and he saw...something...something that made his once ice-cold heart skip a beat. What was going on? How did she do this? The vertically- challenged fire demon thought of a conversation he had with our favorite foxy red-head. Could this be what he said as love at first sight? How could such a foolish thing have occurred to the stoned- hearted demon? Hiei absent-mindedly lifted a coffee cup to his lips and found his mouth invaded by an explosion of sweetness. Hiei made a face and heard a twinkling laughter coming from the young girl in front of him. "Huhn. What are you laughing at woman?" The red-eyed man glared at Lia. The young girl smiled at the angry demon, "You. You look like you've never had a frappachino before." "A what?" Lia looked at Hiei like he had an extra limb. She just couldn't believe he's never heard of that cold coffee treat and still lived in this century. "Whatever. I'm going." Hiei stood up to leave as the purple- haired girl called out, "Wait. If you've never had a frappachino, then who knows what else delicious food product you've never had? Why don't we go out to eat together sometime?" The fire- demon gave Lia a weird look. "Why?" "Well, did you like the coffee or not" He'd hate to admit it but he did like the sweet, cold coffee treat. "Fine." The girl looked satisfied with his answer, "so how about this Saturday, 6:00?"
"Huhn. Fine." "What is with and that 'huhn' thing?!" He left the coffee shop without another word, leaving an annoyed Lia in his stead. How come she was so interested with him anyways? And why did he agree to her silly little date? What a strange girl she is.
So what do you think? Like it? Hate it? Pls rate and/or message
